The Grooming Room believe you and your pet will have a very warm welcome every visit to our tranquil and friendly salon.
Our aim is to look after your dog in a friendly and professional manner. Our salon was designed to make the grooming a very pleasant experience which caters for all breeds and incorporates a reception /waiting room and a grooming room.
We don’t intend to be the biggest or fastest groomers in the area and will always recognise the individual needs of your dog. Every customer has a unique registration card which is completed on your first visit, giving us full medical and grooming history of your dog.
Visits are timed, allowing for your dog(s) to be the centre of our attention
We want them to enjoy thier visit, whether that is playing with a squeaky toy before we start or having a nice cuddle to get to know us; this we believe gives a stress free visit for those dogs who are anxious around strangers and/or other dogs.We love to see returning dogs wagging thier tails as they come through the door!
We choose to use the best quality products to achieve a healthy skin and coat for your dog. Our professional staff are always on hand for advice and information on various subjects such as diet, behaviour and grooming tips.
We are fully qualified and fully insured and welcome inspections of our premises at any time.
We can groom your dog to breed standard or create a special look for you and your dogs busy lifestyle.
We groom your dog straight through so they never need to stay all day. Most dogs are ready to be picked up in 2 hours.
We use the very best quality shampoos specially designed for dogs. Our wide selection ensures we have shampoo suitable for your dog's skin & coat type.
A gentle thermostatically controlled baths ensure a constant temperature so your dogs coat and skin are left sparkling clean.

The Team
Karen realised she was in the wrong job, when her daughter Amelia got a Saturday job at The Grooming Room. After training at a very reputable grooming school, Karen worked with the previous owner of The Grooming Room before taking on the business at the end of 2017 and she hasn't looked back. She has continued the ethos that The Grooming Room set out to achieve and offer to its clients and enjoys all the love and attention she gives to all the puppies and dogs that come to be groomed.
Amelia is still working as a Saturday/ holiday assistant and Freya has also joined the team, making it a proper family concern.
Based at the back of the family home the grooming salon has the benefit of a large safe walled garden and weather permitting it is an ideal place for the dogs to relax after they have been groomed, no crates or cages here!
